Pretending to be crafty...

This is what I have been up to this morning.

I don't know how clear they are but they are all, individual, hand-made invitations for my friends Hen's Night. I've added another photo below.

I don't know what came over me this morning but I was suddenly inspired and rushed into town to collect the required ingredients. Then I spent two-three hours cutting, gluing and writing. This means that the floor is a mess, my fingers are sticky and covered with felt marks but that I am happy. I feel as if I have actually accomplished something. My friend has yet to see them so I hope that she likes them.

It is also interesting to note that yet, my home does have purple carpet. Sadly enough, it also has pink wallpaper. There are times when I feel as if I am living in Barbie's dream house or the set of a 70s porn movie. Either way, it makes things interesting and I am never lacking for conversational starters.(On a side note: It's a real bitch to clean so if any future porn directors out there are considering purple carpet...don't. Just don't.)

Anyway, to counter the inside shots I thought I would leave you with a shots of the outdoors. Just to give you a glimpse of my crazy little world.

It's not the best quality but that was from a few weeks ago and, yes, that is the moon over the horizon. I thought a nice little picture like this would bring a little calm to some.

(And, if I put just a little more in the way of writing it may look like I having tried to do a sneaky, lazy, photo blog instead of a writing one...)

Peace and pancakes, y'all.

P.S. Go the All Blacks.
P.P.S. I don't really care for rugby but apparently it's the World Cup and I have to support someone.

  1. you're a really good friend. It's hard today to find someone who make invitation cards for friends.

Btw, in the photo, is that a hill ?

  2. Aw thanks. Yes it is a hill. Just a small one. I live in a valley so we have lovely hills all around. :)
