Weekend Round Up #4

What a freaking week it's been...no time for details let's get into the good stuff.

First up Empire magazine has released 25 collector edition covers for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of the Future Past and, most of them, are pretty awesome. Look, it's Blink and Sunspot...w00t.

Plus, Empire released a cover featuring Rogue, even though we were told that Anna Paquin's scenes had been cut. Finger's crossed that her part is kept in...even just for a short minute. And look at this Future Sentinel :

I'm not going to talk about Quicksilver. I really have to hold my tongue and wait for the film.

Continuing on in the photo release vein (vane?) is the first image of Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor.

I'm getting more excited and the wait is painful but I'm ready to see what he is going to do with the role. Plus, I want to know what's with the kidneys.

Apparently, Jesse Eisenberg has been cast as Lex Luthor in the Superman/Batman film and Jeremy Irons is the new Alfred...read more here. I don't know what I think about this but I'm still probably going to see the film.

The above is an ad (possibly fake but still bloody brilliant) urging kids to stay in school. WARNING: it is a little graphic. (I'm not joking...) But it gave me a great giggle.

This came out some time ago from the awesome people at BadLipReading over on the youtubes. It is hilarious and almost works. I'd like to see this show.

Anyway, I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. Summer holidays are over for me so I'm diving back into the teaching scene but I'm still going to keep as close to a regular schedule as possible.

Question for you: Who is your favourite X Men character? Kitty Pryde has always been a favourite but I also like Blink, Leech and Psylocke.

Peace and Pancakes
Jaime

  1. I'm curious to see the new Doctor in action, but I have to say, the photoshops people did with his new outfit is pretty awesome. I mean, he does look like a bit of a birthday party magician in that getup, doesn't he?

    1. Oh could you imagine him being hired for a birthday party? Much fun. I'd hired him. Plus, those hand movements... :)
